Welcome to Deadwriters Wiki[]

Deadwriters is intended as a source of information about authors of literary merit. The title is something of a joke...certainly articles on living writers are welcome. I have seeded it with about 100 brief articles just to get things going; however, this wiki will require input from other people--from you. I invite your contributions either to the articles already begun or articles of your own. Don't feel you have to have the definitive word about something to start a page or add to an existing one. This is very much a work in progress and others will help fill any gaps in your knowledge just as you should fill any gaps in mine or other writers. So, welcome and thanks for stopping by! If you are unable to contribute, leave a comment if you can and let me know what you think.

Dead writers[]

There are a lot of 'em...I mean dead writers, and sure, there's a lot of information on them out there on the Net, so why does the world need another site dedicated to them? Well, this site is intended to be a bit more literary, a bit more connected with the critical work out there on these dead writers. It'll start small, mostly with my (and your) opinions, but the eventual goal is that this wiki can be used as a repository for the most important critical debates on the authors, works, topics covered. Which is what? Well, I don't pretend to know all of what's out there, so I'll cover what I feel I know best and we'll see where it goes. That's the plan. There are boundaries to what is literary, but they're soft, malleable. If you want to contribute, then do so.
